I’m UPgrading across the board and my web space will also be reflective of the overall growth. I promise I will update this space often with my random musings, interests, and the who, when, what, & why of my diurnal grind.
I had the pleasure of catching an intimate glimpse of DRIZZY at ALIFE on Monday before his album dropped on the 15th. It was filled with downtown aficionados, music heads, skaters, hipsters, and a bunch of fly ladies who probably wish Aubrey “Drake” Graham was rhyming about them.
A Few months ago QUADRON was in town making the rounds in NYC and few fortunate people got the chance to hang with them and soak of the magic of this Denmark Duo.
The good folks at ARCADE44 allow us to chronicle the goings on of that week and gave us our exclusive diary. They just KILLED Southpaw in Brooklyn and are currently tearing down stages on the east coast.
Miguel Atwood-Ferguson feat. Bilal “Someday We’ll All Be Free”
This is a show that I actually missed because I had to catch a flight back to NYC on my last LA Trip a few weeks back. I REALLY regret that decision now. Here is Bilal doing a cover of my favorite song of all time by Donny Hathaway.
Shouts to my brotha from another mother Andrew Lojero aka @artdontsleep who was behind this. Dude is always involved in classic material. You can pre-order BIlal’s new album AIRTIGHT’S REVENGEHERE
I had the honor of creating the official mix of TedxBrooklyn with my company HumbleRIOT.
I chose a collection of songs reflective of the state of the world and inspired by the world we wish to create. I made sure to also include the new sound of Brooklyn with artists like Theophilus London, LCD Soundssystem, Francis & The Lights and others that offer a unique perspective of what BK is to them.
I wanted to thank my fam Audrey Buchanan, Larissa Sirah, Stone, Jenna Andrews, Craig Bowers, & Robin Hannibal for allowing me to bombard their ears while creating this and THANK YOU to Jacqueline and Marissa Spano at SOULSPEEKER MEDIA for creating the image to fit my vision.
My super cool friends over at clothing line PUBLIC SCHOOL NY did this dope vid of New Yorkers talking about their affinity for the city and what it means to them. They got a few clips of me running my mouth in here. I feel proud to call the Rotten Apple my home.
